Effective date: January 1, 2026. This Notice applies to Rescue Ready and the licensed North Carolina pharmacy that dispenses your kit.

Our commitment to your privacy

This Notice describes how medical information about you may be used and disclosed, and how you can get access to this information. Please review it carefully.

We are required by law to maintain the privacy of your protected health information (PHI), to give you this Notice of our legal duties and privacy practices, and to follow the terms of the Notice currently in effect.

How we may use and disclose your health information

Treatment: We may use your information to dispense rescue devices, counsel you on their use, and coordinate with other providers involved in your care.

Payment: We may use and disclose your information to bill and collect payment from you, your insurance plan, Medicaid, Medicare, or another payer.

Health care operations: We may use your information for quality review, staff training, licensing, accreditation, and other administrative activities that support our pharmacy services.

As required by law: We may disclose your information when required by federal, state, or local law, including public health reporting and oversight activities.

Your rights

You have the right to inspect and receive a copy of your health records, to request corrections to information you believe is inaccurate, and to receive an accounting of certain disclosures we have made.

You may request that we communicate with you confidentially or by a specific means, and you may request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures. We will accommodate reasonable requests where the law allows.

You have the right to receive a paper copy of this Notice on request, even if you have agreed to receive it electronically.

Information you submit online

Kit requests and contact messages submitted through this site are collected through a HIPAA-compliant form service under a business associate agreement. This website itself does not store your health information.

Changes to this Notice

We may change this Notice at any time. Any revised Notice will apply to information we already hold as well as information we receive in the future, and the current version will always be posted on this page.

If you have questions about this Notice or believe your privacy rights have been violated, contact us at info@rescuereadypharmacy.com. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
